Windows Communicator - universal chat client,based on
ICQ and IRC functionality and solutions. Application
can work on Local Area Networks as well as over the
Internet. Each copy of Windows Communicator contains
built in, inactive by default Windows Communicator
server. The server starts when application cannot find
alternate server defined in servers list. Dynamic
server advantage is very useful on the networks
whitout server. Built in Windows Communicator server
is completely invisible and activates automatically.
Server keeps informations about users list, scheduled
messages which should be sent even if the receipient
is currently unavailable and, at last , the messages
to send at defined date/time.
Basic application functions contain : sending public
messages, private chat, private message.Additional
options may work as spy, allows you to get screenshot
remotely, get running applications list (with
terminate option), reboot, shutdown or logoff network
computer. You can execute any application on victim's
computer as hidden process, you can monitor others
keyboard activity. Each option can be blocked by users.
Identification. Each user's status is displayed as
icon. Icon color depends on current user state.For
example, users that are currently online appears in
users list as green icon, not available users-blue
icon. The red color means the user asks you not to
disturb, you cannot send him message box, the only way
to contact is by leaving your message in private chat
window. The DND state guarantee that you won't receive
message boxes and the application won't popup or
become active.
By entering to User Details dialog you are able to
read more detailed informations about users like:
computer name, IP number, EMail, Operating System.
Windows Communicator version, unique network interface
card number (MAC address). Besides appliation checks
for FTP/HTTP/Telnet accessibility and user left or
join time.
