Selector Knob ActiveX - Version 3.2 The Selector control is possibly the worst named control in the GMS arsenal of controls! GMS has struggled with the name of this control since its inception in 1995! How do you describe it!? Well, basically it's a switching mechanism with a knob-like interface, only it's much more than just that. It is a knob-like control that allows users to select a discrete option from a list of options. It can be used to replace standard option (radio) buttons. Use it to save real estate on your for ms and give the end user an intuitive interface for choosing amongst several different input settings. One of the most bizarre controls you'll ever run across, the Selector ActiveX can be configured in infinitely different and sometimes strange ways. Choose your angles, offset styles and distances, captions, fonts, selection labels, colors, highlights, kn ob styles, etc., etc. Many, many properties to choose from. There are even autoconfiguration algorithms built into the control to help minimize setup times. Very popular in factory automation applications for switching between unique settings for driving equipment, setting inputs and outputs, choosing conveyor belt speeds, etc.. However, the usefulness of this control is certainly not limited to just the fac tory floor. It has been used by applications to choose printers and fonts, data acquisition rates, and more mundane applications such as replacing radio buttons on Visual Basic forms. The Selector ActiveX provides optional mouse input and is data aware for fast, efficient database connectivity. Used in conjunction with the GMS Knob control, it can handle any knob-related software development you will ever need to do. Sold separately or in GMS's most popular bundle of ActiveX controls, the Instrumentation ActiveX Library. Possible uses include (but are not limited to): - Factory/Plant Floor Operations - Radio Button Replacement - Switch
