Vice - Version 1.1.3 Vice is a feature-rich graphical shell for the JAR archiver (by Robert K. Jung of Arj Software, Inc. www.arjsoftware.com). Some of the features include: * Runs on Windows NT and 95. It has not been tested on 98, but is expected to run as for 95. * Simple installation and operation achieved with no application extensions (DLL, OCX etc). * Automatically associates .J and .VCF (Vice Configuration File) files with Vice. * Works with all date and time formats. Year 2000 compliant. Note: JAR uses 6-digit dates; consequently Vice truncates dates to 6 digits. * Supports all JAR commands (except "cfg" and "reg") . * Supports all JAR switches. Note that switches on the Advanced Tab are only available in the registered version. * Full integration with JAR configuration files. * Separate switch set for each command. This allows each command to have a unique setup as with the configuration files. * Support for chapters. * Support for long filenames (with embedded spaces). * Support for list files. * Ability to AutoSave the current state and AutoLoad the previous state. * Ability to save named states allowing unlimited configurations for different archiving tasks.
