Podcasting allows users to broadcast with a limited
amount of equipment from their own home without FCC
rules and regulations and expensive broadcasting
equipment. Producers of podcasts need a computer,
microphones, editing and recording software, the
ability to create an RSS feed of their recording, and
an ftp client to which they upload their podcast to a
destination URL on the Internet. ePodcast Express will
help you publish your podcast or existing audio file,
automatically generate an RSS Feed or Subscription File
(XML) and Web Page (HTML), and upload it to the
internet. ePX supports RSS 2.0 specifications as well
as iTunes proprietary tags for listing in the Apple
iTunes directory. ePX will create a single subscription
feed and maintain and update an existing subscription
feed. ePX also supports the addition of ID3 tags to
your podcast or audio file. Podcasting is a growing
audio medium, similar to yet different from traditional
radio broadcasting and streaming audio content. There
are two end users of Podcasting technology with unique
software and hardware needs for each.In order to listen
to a podcast, listeners need a computer and the ability
to play the downloaded MP3 audio file either on their
desktop through programs like iTunes or Windows Media
player or on a portable MP3 device such as the iPod or
iRiver. For those who wish to subscribe to a variety of
programs, an audio aggregator such as Juice or iTunes
will allow a user to download and subscribe to RSS
feeds on a daily or pre-determined schedule right to
