Basketball Machine - Version 5.6 This Basketball game machine is one of the arcade game machines which were produced in the 70s and 80s, through to the beginning of Perestroika. The devices produced in non-specialist factories, mostly part of the military-industrial complex, so there were almost endless funds and advanced technology for that time. These terribly expensive devices could be obtained for 2,500-4,000 rubles, nearly as much as a Lada automobile! But unlike western one-armed bandits, the goal of the Soviet machine was not gambling, but to lift the spirits of the workers with some entertainment. Think nothing of it, throw in 15 cents and have at it! The game provided an opportunity to play either alone (keys 0-9) as well as others (Digital NUM 0 - NUM 9). Numbers greater than "9" are the last digit, so for example if the ball is hit into the hole under the number "13," you have to press "3."
