Paragon CD-ROM Emulator Network Version - Version 3.0 CD-ROM Emulator is a very helpful utility designed for creating and managing virtual CD drives and CD/DVD discs. These virtual CD drives are much quicker, more reliable and convenient than physical ones. They work with hard disk performance that is ten times faster than the best physical CD drives. They are silent, consume no power, and do not need any time for CD swapping and speeding-up. Virtual CDs are simply files that are saved on your hard disk – no chance of losing them, no dust, no scratches or rifts, no need to search for the desired CD title. CD-ROM Emulator can create up to 23 virtual CD drives. Due to the original emulation technology, virtual devices are treated as usual physical CD drives by every application and even by operating systems. With so many virtual CD drives you can simultaneously work with several CD-based applications (e.g. encyclopedia, maps, games, dictionaries, translators etc.) and even listen to your favorite music. The virtual CDs you use in CD-ROM Emulator are actually image files of real CDs and DVDs. Additional features of the program’s network version are: 1) Every CD image can be shared by many users simultaneously. –2) The centralized CD Image Database. Centralized control for all CD images in the network. As soon as CD Image is created on the network server it becomes accessible for all clients with installed CD Emulator. –3) Administrator settings – for example, restrictions of functions accessible by client. –4) Special "silent" mode for installation – allows installing CD Emulator over the network using a batch file or Windows Logon Scripts.
